COVID-19 Vaccine and Boosters
Vaccination is the safest way to maximize protection for you and your family. The protection we get from a vaccine does start to wear off over time, so the CDC suggests you get all recommended vaccine doses and boosters as soon as possible.
Little River Medical Center is offering second booster doses of the Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines to all eligible individuals.
Updated guidance provided by the CDC allows for a person to receive a second Covid-19 booster dose at least four months after receiving a first booster dose of any authorized or approved Covid-19 vaccine for those who are 50 years old or older, and those who are age 12 and older with certain immunocompromising conditions, such as having had an organ transplant.
These vaccines reduce the risk of moderate and severe illness caused by a Covid-19 infection. If you have questions about your risks and the benefits of Covid-19 vaccine booster dose, ask your health provider for information to help you make that decision.
Please bring ID and insurance card. Insurance is not required and there is NO COST to you for the vaccine.

Those who are eligible can get a Covid-19 vaccine without charge, regardless of their insurance status or residence.
