About Dr. Raybon

Dr. Jesse M. Raybon is a general dentist at Little River Medical Center dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-focused dental care for individuals and families in the community. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Raybon has a strong background in community-based and public health dentistry. Through outreach programs, community clinics, and external clinical rotations, he has gained extensive experience in providing care to underserved populations and addressing diverse dental needs.

Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Raybon worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist, which gives him a unique perspective on preventive care and patient education that still influences his approach to dentistry today.

Dr. Raybon’s Approach to Care

Dr. Raybon believes dental care should be based on trust, education, and compassion. His approach is conservative and centered on preserving natural tooth structure whenever possible, while balancing function, aesthetics, and long-term oral health.

His passion for dentistry was sparked by his own childhood experience of overcoming dental anxiety with the help of a caring dentist. That experience continues to influence his dedication to creating a comforting environment for patients who might feel nervous about dental care.

Dr. Raybon emphasizes patient comfort and takes the time to educate patients about their oral health so they feel confident and empowered when making treatment choices. He collaborates with each patient to create treatment plans that match their needs, goals, and circumstances.

Education and Training

Dr. Raybon received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical University of South Carolina’s James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine.

He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from North Greenville University, a Certificate of Biology from Western Kentucky University, and an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Central Piedmont Community College.

Professional Affiliations

Dr. Raybon is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Personal Interests

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Raybon enjoys spending time with his wife, Ivey, and their miniature dachshund, Paxton. He likes the beach, singing, taking part in church activities, and training for local 5K races. He also enjoys Disney and creating festive seasonal décor for family and friends.
